Senior Cloud Architect

The Company
A leading healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Architect to lead and implement cloud deployments from a technology architecture perspective. The role involves conceptualizing architectural approaches, developing and validating both on-premise and cloud architecture solutions, and guiding operational teams according to the company’s Enterprise Architecture Framework.

The Role
The Senior Cloud Architect will provide technical leadership in cloud computing and automation, focusing on designing systems and services that run on various cloud platforms. The role includes developing specifications for new and existing IT cloud computing products and services, ensuring compliance with industry best practices, and driving cloud adoption within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in a relevant technology field (NQF level 7).

• Microsoft Certified Cloud Architect certification.

• Microsoft Specialist: Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions certification.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification.

• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certification.

• Minimum 8-10 years in a senior technical specialist role.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft technology and solutions design.

Technical Expertise:

• Cloud design and architecture, including Windows Server Operating Systems.

• Virtualization, information security, and compliance.

• DevOps, cloud backups, and monitoring of cloud resources.

• Microsoft architecture and solution design.

• Business continuity and disaster recovery.

• Cloud infrastructure support and management.

• System automation (PowerShell scripting).

• Azure SQL, Databricks, Data Lake.

• Implementation and automation of IaaS and PaaS services in Azure.
